Polydec SA Head Change Baton…

Monday, March 4, 2019

The Route/Run of Polydec…
The adventure began in 1985 in the promiscuity of a small workshop in Evilard. At that time the co-founders and cousins, Claude and Jean-François Konrad, were far from imagining that Polydec would become the company it is today!

In 1996 they built their first building in Biel. In 2007, they acquired the second building, an existing plant right next door. And finally in 2016, the entrepreneurs made their last move to more spacious and completely renovated premises of 10,000 m2.

Passing the Leadership Baton…
Two years after the resumption of the new buildings and after 33 years at the service of micro-turning, Claude and Jean-François Konrad decided to pass on the baton by management buy-out.

Since 1 January 2019, the relay has been provided by Pascal Barbezat, Sales Director since 2013, and Thierry Mathez, CFO since 2011. A decision that matured long ago, even before the move.

The Race Continues…
Today Polydec uses a surface area of 5,000 m2 and produces over 40 million parts monthly, with 75 collaborators. But the story doesn’t end here, the race continues… The acquirers are ready to take on future challenges !

Goodbye Dear Bosses…
On behalf of successors and all employees, we thank them warmly for their unconditional commitment, their entrepreneurial and human side, but above all their invaluable contribution to the success of Polydec. We wish them all the best in their future occupations.
